Family welcomes verdicts in machete murder case

A man has been jailed for at least 28 years for arranging the murder of his wife in a machete attack carried out by two other men, in west London.

The Old Bailey heard that Harpreet Aulakh paid to have 28-year-old Geeta Aulakh killed after she had asked him for divorce.

Two other men - Sher Singh, who's 19, and 30-year-old Jafwant Chillon - were imprisoned for a minimum of twenty-two years each.

Outside the Old Bailey, Geeta's brother, Rajah Shinh, read a statement on behalf of the family.
