Nottingham heart infection death could have been avoided

A coroner has criticised NHS bosses in Nottingham after hearing that a heart patient's death could have been avoided.

Microbiologists discovered a surgeon was unwittingly infecting his patients with a bug last summer, but NHS officials did not intervene in time.
