PC Jon Henry's death 'preventable' says report

An independent report into the murder of a policeman by a paranoid schizophrenic has found that his death might have been prevented, if Tennyson Obih had been properly treated by mental health services.

PC Jon Henry was stabbed in Luton town centre in 2007.

The report says that although the attack could not have been predicted, carers failed to intervene when Obih stopped taking psychiatric drugs and decided to treat his condition with olive oil and prayer.

Mark Worthington reports.
