CCTV of robbers pointing gun at baby in a shop raid

Robbers who threatened a shopkeeper with a gun and a meat cleaver as he held his baby daughter in his arms were "beneath contempt", police have said.

Two masked men entered Gough News on Windsor Road, Bury, on Tuesday.

The robbers held a cocked gun to the shopkeeper's head - demanding money from the till - as he held his 15-month-old daughter in his arms.

They also threatened his wife, who was behind the counter, before stealing cash from the till and cigarettes.

Nick Ravenscroft reports.
