Former BBC boss hits back in ageist row

A former Countryfile presenter is accusing the BBC of age and sex discrimination after she lost her job on the programme.

Miriam O'Reilly, 53, was one of several female presenters who lost their jobs on the show ahead of its move to a prime-time Sunday evening slot.

A former controller of BBC One, Jay Hunt has been giving her account of what happened.

The BBC has denied the presenter was axed because of her age.

Jon Brain reports.
