Cameron and Sarkozy sign UK-France defence treaties

The UK Prime Minister and the French President have signed a historic deal which in future which will see the two countries co-ordinate the use of aircraft carriers, and share nuclear test facilities.

David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy say the arrangement will save money without undermining national sovereignty. Critics warn it could limit Britain's ability to act independently.
