Defence deal 'won't compromise sovereignty'

The prime minister and the French president have signed an historic deal which in future which will see the two countries co-ordinate the use of aircraft carriers and share nuclear test facilities.

David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy say the moves will save money without undermining national sovereignty.
