Gordon Bennett Cup balloon race lifts off from Bristol

After a delayed start, the world's oldest air race finally lifted off, in Bristol overnight.

The Gordon Bennett Cup is an endurance race for balloons filled with hydrogen gas. The event has been held for more than 100 years, but it is the first time it has taken place in Britain.
