Scottish Army medics honoured for Afghanistan campaign

A unit of medics who volunteered for service in Afghanistan has been presented with campaign medals by the Countess of Wessex.

Commanders have praised 205 Scottish Field Hospital for its service on what they called "an incredibly challenging and demanding tour of duty".

Colonel Graham Sunderland, a general surgeon in civilian life, said everyone he knew had "been very supportive... clearly they worry, but they've supported our effort".
