Wristband gives '255 volt shocks’
A US company has crowd-funded over $200,000 (£127,000) for a device that helps you break bad habits using electric shocks.
The Pavlok wristband delivers a 255 volt shock if you dare to visit time-wasting websites, with the aim of conditioning your behaviour for the better.
The company say that although it delivers a "noticeable" shock, the device is completely safe to use.
Eventually the makers hope it will shock you out of bed on time and jolt your exercise routine into shape.
BBC Click's Stephen Beckett spoke to Pavlok's CEO Maneesh Sethi, and tried out a prototype of the device.
This video was filmed in a safe environment. Care should be taken when using any products that provide an electrical shock.
