Warning to set strong passwords on household webcams

The Information Commissioner Christopher Graham has warned people to change preset passwords on their household webcams to stop potential snoopers.

It follows the publication of thousands of live feeds from systems across the world on a Russian website.

The site hacks into cameras showing footage from homes and businesses, with many living rooms and bedrooms featuring prominently.

Mr Graham told BBC Breakfast that the invasion of privacy was "spooky" but webcam owners had to take responsibility for their online security.
