Android One smartphones released in India

Google has launched the first Android One branded smartphones in India.

The handsets provide a minimum set of features determined by Google, and will sell for around $100 in the competitive Indian phone market.

The company has also teamed up with a local network to make it cheaper to download Android updates and new apps.
