Study suggests more people text than call on the phone

Text messaging is now the most popular form of daily communication between British adults, according to figures from Ofcom.

People now send an average of 200 texts a month, more than double the figure of four years ago and the amount of time adults spend speaking on a mobile phone has dropped for the first time.
