Martha Lane Fox: 'Save at least £270 a year on the web'

More than 100,000 volunteers have promised to help a campaign to get more people on the internet.

Government digital champion Martha Lane Fox hopes they will be successful in getting some of the 9million people in the UK who have never used the internet.

It is part of the Race Online 2012 campaign which is trying to get millions more people using computers by the end of next year.

Ms Lane Fox said people can save money by using the internet. One of the volunteers Jonathan Wilson said a special keyboard had been developed to help older people get online.
