Nasa Mission: InSight successfully lands on Mars

The InSight probe has made touchdown and already taken its first picture from the surface of the red planet.

Astronauts from the International Space Station thanked Nasa teams on the ground.

The probe withstood temperatures of 2,700°F (1,500°C) upon entering Mars' atmosphere.
