Male river fish show feminised traits due to chemicals flushed away

A scientific study in Britain says chemicals flushed through the drainage system have caused about 20% of male freshwater fish to exhibit female characteristics. Researchers identified more than 200 agents - including ingredients in the contraceptive pill - which made male fish display feminised traits.
