'Dinosaur crater' rocks under study

Scientists have begun examining rocks drilled from the Chicxulub Crater - the hole dug out of Earth's crust by the asteroid impact that killed off the dinosaurs.

The lead investigators on the project, Jo Morgan and Sean Gulick, described the cores to our correspondent Jonathan Amos.

Their conversation took place in the German city of Bremen where the material is being curated.
