Waste wood transformed into flying fuel

In an effort to curb emissions from the growing aviation sector, airlines are looking at more sustainable forms of jet fuel.

One of the most recent types of biofuel to gain certification is made from waste wood and forest residue.

Environment correspondent Matt McGrath explains the steps that are necessary to turn the tree tops and pine needles into a high octane product suitable for flying.
