Calls to protect Scotland's pregnant beavers

Heavily pregnant beavers, or ones which have recently given birth, have been shot by landowners in some parts of Scotland, BBC Scotland has learned.

The news has led to demands for restrictions on shooting during the breeding season and renewed calls for Scotland's beavers to receive legal protection.
