Tim Peake 'excited' ahead of first spacewalk on Friday

"It's going to be the most exhilarating feeling imaginable," says British astronaut Tim Peake speaking ahead of his first ever spacewalk.

Major Peake and Nasa astronaut Tim Kopra will venture outside the International Space Station (ISS) on 15 January to replace a failed voltage regulator.

Talking to the BBC's Stargazing Live programme, he admitted it would be physically and mentally challenging but said he had trained for it and was "really excited".
