Tim Peake: Rocket blessed by Orthodox priest ahead of launch

The rocket which will launch British astronaut Tim Peak into space on Tuesday has been blessed by an Orthodox priest.

He is lifting off in a Russian spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

It will take him 6 hours to reach the International Space Space. He says what he is looking forward to most on his spaceflight is the view of Earth.

Sarah Rainsford reports from Kazakhstan.
