British astronaut Tim Peake undergoes winter survival training

On 15 December, Tim Peake will launch into space to become Britain's first astronaut on board the International Space Station.

For the past two years, Tim has been filming video diaries for the BBC's Horizon programme, showing the risks, pressures and rigours of training.

Here Tim undergoes winter survival training – camping out with his crew as the temperature drops to -24C.
