Robotic hand uses bio-signals to control movement

With robots seen as a potentially massive new industry, government ministers want academics and companies to work more closely together.

Robots have generally been used in factories but the latest designs envisage them working inside nuclear power stations, driving our cars and helping in care homes.

The BBC's science editor, David Shukman, had a look at some of the work being done at the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics.
