Nasa Mars mission in final stages of preparation

Nasa is making final preparations for its biggest mission to Mars yet, in which it will study whether ancient conditions on the planet could have ever supported life.

The Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) is expected to lift off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on Saturday, and will take the best part of a year to reach the planet.
