Queen Elizabeth Prize: New engineering prize worth £1m

A prize of £1m is being offered to encourage a new generation of engineers around the world.

The Queen Elizabeth Prize is funded by the engineering industry and the organisers hope it will be as prestigeous as the Nobel Prize, encouraging more people to take up engineering as a profession.

Leaders of all three political parties attended the launch at the Science Museum in London.

Daniel Boettcher reports.
