The Northwick Park trial - what happened?

On 13 March 2006 eight men took part in a drug trial at an independent clinic at Northwick Park Hospital run by Parexel, a company which conducts drug trials for pharmaceutical companies.

Six of the men were rushed to intensive care with organ failure after experiencing a serious reaction within hours of taking the drug TGN1412. The other two had been given a placebo.
