Curly-haired rebellion

In Beirut, Lebanon, Miriam is in Tony Sawaya's salon to colour her naturally curly hair a deep red. It's an act of minor rebellion in a country where the style is for ultra-glamorous sleek, straight hair... and plastic surgery to match.

The Salon is a series of conversations about identity and appearance with women around the world, in the intimate space of the hairdresser's chair.
