The beauty slogan that sparked an argument about race

What do you get when you search using the phrase "beautiful skin" online? Mostly white, beautiful women.

That's one reason why a group of Twitter users started the hashtag #FlexinMyComplexion to celebrate darker skin tones. The trend appears to have been inspired by a set of pictures by artist Kameelah Janan Rasheed. But since this is the internet... there was of course a backlash.
