Herbert Groenemeyer, Germany's biggest star, takes on US
Germany's most famous musical artist is a long way from home.
Having sold more than 13 million albums and routinely played to 80,000-strong crowds in his homeland, Herbert Groenemeyer, 57, is turning his attention to the biggest musical market of all - the United States.
He has translated some of his most popular songs into English, added some new ones, and has just embarked on a 12-concert tour that will take him all the way from Boston to San Francisco.
But why does the performer behind Germany's best-selling album of all-time feel the need to play in front of a couple of hundred people in a foreign country?
The BBC's David Willis went to meet him.
