'It's lovely to find out about their lives'

The perception of care homes - and what it's like to live and work in them - is not always positive.

But Charlotte, who currently works at the Anchor Greenacres Care Home in Banstead, Surrey, says there is real joy in spending time with the elderly people there.

"There is a wonderful joy in a smile from a resident, when you see a twinkle in someone's eye and you really have a connection with them."

"It's really lovely to find out about their lives and hear stories about different things they've done."
