New report urges farmers to cut antibiotic use

A new report says farmers around the world need to dramatically cut the amount of antibiotics they use on animals, because of the threat to human health.

The Review on Antimicrobial Resistance says that half the antibiotics used worldwide are on animals, and this is contributing to drug resistance.
