Pharmacist: 'I saw around 35 patients in one day'

An "army" of pharmacists should step in to help treat patients at GP practices across England, according to leading health professionals.

Under the plans, pharmacists would see patients with common ailments directly.

They would also be able to provide health advice and prescribe medication once extra training had been completed.
