Christmas GP surgery closure advice and A&E alternatives

There are "deep concerns" about access to GPs over Christmas and New Year, according to the Patients' Association.

In most areas practices will close for at least four days, and in Scotland there will be two four-day weekends in a row.

The NHS says there are alternatives, meaning people do not need to go to Accident and Emergency.
