Marcelle Bernstein: No side effects from breast cancer treatment
Journalist and novelist, Marcelle Bernstein, talks about her experience of a pioneering breast cancer treatment.
Two years after she had surgery for breast cancer, she says the new treatment, which replaces weeks of radiotherapy with a single, targeted shot, can dramatically improve the experience of the patient and those closest to them.
She said there were no side effects, and that it was easy to put it behind her.
"In my mind I had breast cancer for two months... I've had a fantastic two years, and I propose to have a lot more," she added.
