Saving lives on Africa's biggest lake

Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa, with a surface area greater than Switzerland.

Millions of people depend on its resources, but it has a darker side. Each year, thousands of people drown in its waters.

But why is drowning so common there, and what can be done to improve things?

Catherine Byaruhanga visited one organization trying to save lives on the lake.
