Great outdoors? Ticks, pets and the risk of Lyme disease

Cases of Lyme disease, which can be carried by ticks, have been on the rise in the UK in recent years.

Ticks are often attracted to animals such as dogs and can also target humans when out and about in the countryside. So what steps can people take to minimise the risks?
