Is having alcohol whilst pregnant bad for your baby?

The drinks company Diageo, which makes Guinness, Smirnoff and Baileys is to fund a training programme for midwives in England and Wales on the dangers of drinking alcohol in pregnancy.

The charity which will run the courses, goes further than most medical and government advice and says pregnant women should drink no alcohol at all.

BBC News spoke to GP, Dr Sarah Jarvis and Susan Fleisher from the National Organisation for Foetal Alcohol Syndrome, on the effects of consuming alcohol whilst pregnant.
