Bourne: Red Shoes twenty years in the making

The Red Shoes is one of the most famous films about dance. Nearly 70 years after release it's now been turned in to a ballet.

The performance has been choreographed by Sir Matthew Bourne, the man who made headlines with a largely male Swan Lake.

The Today programme's Arts Correspondent, David Sillito, went to rehearsals to discuss the story with Bourne and Ashley Shaw, who plays the role of Victoria Page.
