Making a Murderer: Twice failed by the US justice system?
The documentary series Making a Murderer has been capturing attention around the world since it was released by Netflix at the end of last year.
Set in Wisconsin USA, it tells the story of Steven Avery who was imprisoned for 18 years before being exonerated for a rape he did not commit.
Just two years after his release, Avery was again arrested and convicted for the horrific murder of a local woman called Teresa Halbach.
The series - which was filmed over the course of a decade - calls everything into question about how America's criminal justice system works and has attracted both acclaim and criticism.
The filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos have been talking to the BBC's Jamie Coomarasamy about why they decided to embark on such a controversial project.
