Chris Hadfield: Bowie knew what it would be like in space

Chris Hadfield says he felt that David Bowie's Space Oddity showed the singer "recognised what it was going to be like" to be in space.

The Canadian astronaut sang his own version of the song while on the International Space Station.

He described the death of Bowie as an "irretrievable loss".
