Australia returns to Eurovision

Australia will compete for a second time in the Eurovision Song Contest, following a successful showing in this year's competition.

The country has embraced the competition for years - and Australian stars like Olivia Newton John and Gina G have performed on behalf of other countries.

A contestant will be announced in the new year, travelling to Stockholm for the contest on 10, 12 and 14 May, 2016.

Music reporter Mark Savage looks at the reasons behind the move.
