Jurassic Park star: 'Attenborough was light in my life'

Jurassic Park actress Ariana Richards has paid tribute to co-star Richard Attenborough, who died on Sunday aged 90.

The actress, who played Lex in the film, said she was "deeply saddened" at hearing the news, remembering Lord Attenborough as "incredibly warm" and "grandfatherly" on set.

Lord Attenborough, who was also an Oscar-winning director, played the park's billionaire creator John Hammond in the 1993 film.

Richards told BBC Radio 5 live's Stephen Nolan: "Not only was he a brilliant actor, he was an incredible person... He was a light in my life."
