The rock star of science books

The Particle at the End of the Universe has been described as a 'rock star of a book' by The Royal Society which also named it the Science Book of the Year.

Written by theoretical physicist and cosmologist Sean Carroll it traces the search for the elusive Higgs Boson.

He spoke to the BBC's Nick Higham from California about making science accessible.
