Stirling Prize shortlist up close

A revamped block of concrete flats and a holiday home in the ruins of a 12th century castle are among the projects shortlisted for the UK's best known prize for architecture.

The University of Limerick, Park Hill housing estate in Sheffield, Newall Be in Essex, the Giant's Causeway Visitor Centre, Bishop Edward King Chapel in Cuddesdon and Astley Castle in Warwickshire are all vying for the 2013 Royal Institute of British Architects' Stirling award.

The winner will be announced on Thursday 26 September.
