Oxford hosts UK's biggest Stradivarius exhibition

The biggest ever exhibition in the UK of Stradivarius musical instruments is being held in Oxford.

The Ashmolean Museum is displaying 20 items made by Antonio Stradivari in the 16th Century - some of which have never been seen before in public.

The Ashmolean's Curator of European Art Dr John Whiteley spoke to Radio 3's In Tune programme about the exhibition. The piece is accompanied by Savitri Grier who gives a live demonstration.
