BBC News bids farewell to TV Centre

The BBC has begun broadcasting its UK TV news service from a purpose built building in central London.

From Monday, the entire BBC news operation will be based at New Broadcasting House in central London, in the largest newsroom in Europe.

The iconic TV Centre opened in 1960 and BBC News was first broadcast from the site nine years later.

Presenters Simon McCoy and Sophie Long say goodbye for the last time from Television Centre.
