Damien Hirst inspired by John Noakes
Damien Hirst was this week presented with a gold Blue Peter badge to recognise his contribution to British art.
The artist appears in a forthcoming episode of Blue Peter, showing children how to create their own spin paintings as part of a workshop run by Tate Modern and Covent Garden for local schoolchildren and the charity Kids Company.
In the episode he also explains how John Noakes' 1975 demonstration of spin art inspired his own work.
