Films focus on Franco-Algerian woes

The era of French colonialism in Algeria was defined by warfare and terrorism, 132 years of occupation which ended after a brutal war of independence in 1962.

Now two films about the Franco-Algerian relationship have been entered for Best Foreign Film at this year's Academy Awards.

But as Kathy Harcombe reports, they look at it from very different angles.
