Paul Ryan: 'Count me out' of campaign

US House Speaker Paul Ryan has said that there is no possibility of him making a late attempt for the Republican presidential nomination.

His statement follows weeks of speculation over who could become the nominee should there be a contested convention in July.

"I do not want, nor will I accept the nomination for our party," Mr Ryan said.

He added that the only people who should be considered are those competing in the primaries.
