Obama says candidates should avoid 'insults and taunts'

President Obama has weighed into the increasingly heated race to find his successor in the White House, advising candidates to avoid insults and divisiveness.

His comments came a day after supporters of the Republican frontrunner, Donald Trump, clashed with demonstrators in Chicago.
